Sorry guys, when my son was 4yrs old I used to put him on my dirt bike with a little football helment and take him for a ride in the woods. He rode on the front of the seat in front of me.
I laid the bike down several times. He got up and brushed himself off and laughed. He never got hurt. I seen to that.
His 1st bike was like a Yz80 yamaha. He still rides. He remembers the days to this day. He would tell you the same thing I'm saying, He has kids.
Don't know why everybody wants to worry about other folks business and how they live. If her old man was happy with it leave her along. It ain't yer business.
How would you like it if everybody looked at you and said look at that stupid person for riding a motorcycle, they gonna git themselves killed. If they git in a wreck its their own fault. their mama should of beat them more when they was a kid.
You just don't hear folks that don't ride say good things about motorcycles. Everything is negative.
In the old days everybody didn't live a protected life like you grew up in. We did just fine without folks trying to judge us.
Go ask yer grand dads how they did things.
I'm with Cardboard too. Maybe thesingle mother woke up in the morning got dressed and was ready to take the baby to the doctor. She had waited 8 weeks for an appointment with the specialist and knew no matter what she had to get there. She tries desperately to get the car started but it just won't crank over. She looks up and down her block and realizes she is alone. No money for a cab, no Triple A, life just getting harder and harder. She remembers the ugly divorce and the fact that the child support hasn't showed up in months.(or a husband who didn't return from the war andmilitary benefits that now don't exist)Ah, that's right, his old sporty is still in the garage. Desperately she straps the child seat to the back of the bike and off she goes. Sometimes the motto "whatever it takes" comes to mind. The conversations that we have on this forum are informative and allow us to state how we feel about different matters. I think it isreally great to discuss things but maybe we should be more careful about how we judge others.
if she wasn't such a nagging witch, she wouldn't have run off her hard working husband . Thus getting a ride in the families nice roomy Dodge dually pickup, to an PPO Doctor instead of the welfare place on Crack St. she is headed to now.
Has any of the folks here that are against this lady ever been to a country such as Thailand, Phillipines, Cambodia? This is a way of life for these people. The traffic in these countries makes I285 around Atlanta look like a walk in the park. The capitol of Thailand (Bangkok) has millions of motorcycle riders I would hazard to say. This is a choice that lady made and she has to live with it...not any of us. The US is a good country I love it, but Americans sometimes are some of the most uptight folks I have ever met in the world and I have been to many places. We would probably be a happier bunch of people if we could learn to mind our own business. Remeber when you used to ride everywhere in the car without a seat belt? I know we did when we were kids....someone decided that they should make it a law for everyone to wear a seatbelt, next thing you know they ban smoking, firearms will be next, then they will probably tell you when you can ride that shiny Harley we all love so dearly. I for one try not to be judgemental of people I do not know. And even the ones I do know, as long as what they do does not affect me then by all means do what you want...just try and be considerate of others when you do it.....
