What do you think ?
First of all, I could never put one of my little ones on a bike and haul down the road....just not for me.....BUT.....what is funny to me is, alot of you that are on here dictating what this mother should and should not do, are the SAME ONES that say that hand-holding laws are BS....aren't you doing the same thing here that our government does with helmet laws, seat belts, etc.???
Most of the replies here were merely commenting on the morality of her actions.A couple people went a step further and explained HOW they arrived at their conclusion. That's all.
"Wanna-be's" hide behind the rebel-biker image because they just can't face up to responsibilities.
Rant off.
LOL" LOL"
All my Doctor and Lawyer friends and customers
that play Mr. Dress Up on weekends riding a few
miles on their motorcycles would disagree with you.
They face their responsiblities daily, they work hard
and raise their families to the best of their abilitys.
They also would not agree with babies on motorcycles
just like all the other wanna be's playingMr. Dress Up
on weekends. They likeplaying Mr. Dress Up on
weekends pretending to be bikers/motorcyclests, that
is their release from the pressures of the responsibilties
of their every day lives. I don't think people that like
playing Mr. Dress Up wanna be bikers/motorcyclests on
weekends will appreciate yousaying they are not able
to face up to their responsibilities!
Ihave rode 40,000 to 100,000 miles a year for over 40
years now. I ride every single day no matter what the
weather is andout of all the people I meet on motorcycles
90% of them now days are wanna be Mr. Dress Up's
playing biker/motorcyclest on weekends. I'm hear to tell
you most all of them are very nice people and take their
day to day responsibiblities very seriously!
Which means you probably owe alot of people on this
forum anapology for saying their dodging their
responsibilities just because they like motorcycles in
their life and don't have the time or wantfor living the
lifestyle like bikers/motorcyclests do 24/7 365!
Well you obviously misinterpreted what I was saying. I am saying that guys like you are "wanna-be" men, not "wanna-be" bikers.
OH" That makes it better, now you who has know idea
who or what I am is telling me I'm not a man!! [:'(]
Yeah know" if I give a ratz butt what you thought about
me that would probably bother me some how

But being it doesn't!
Have a nice day..... LOL"

Weâre doggin on this gal for riding an infant in a baby seat, and while I donât agree with it, if itâs not against the law (as stated in GA), then she found that to be an acceptable level of risk.
I read one guy in here who wouldnât have his kid on the back of a bike before theyâre 16 while my boy has been riding with me since he could reach the footpegs (5 years old). I rode with my dad at that age and some of my best memories are of spending time with my pops as a kid carving up canyon roads and stopping for a soda at the top of some random mountain. My boy wears a helmet, leather jacket, jeans, boots and gloves before we head out. Some would probably call me irresponsible, but regardless of what you do, not everyone is going to be happy with your decision.
So for those folks that say an infant is too young, what is an acceptable ageâŚ5âŚ10âŚ16âŚnever? If we go by that logic, we'd never ride with children, because by law they're not cognizant of their actions until they're 18.What gets me about this entire conversation is that while folks are condemning this gal, there are folks out there that condemn us period because we ride scootsâŚthey think a scoot is an unacceptable risk.
We donât live in a plastic bubble protected from everything that harms us and life itself is a riskâŚwhy not get over it, live life and create some damn memories.
Its just my personal opinion, but I think if the passenger can not reach the foot pegs (in their stock location)it should be against the law for that person to be on the back of the bike. On the other hand I could care less what someone else does with their child.......I ain't the police of the world. I wouldn't want to see/hear of some child getting hurt as a result of a crash while riding as a passenger on a MC......but I for one will not go one inch out of my way or waist my time trying to impart my views & values on a stranger.
You might not, but he will!

I would argue that it's no longer a "personal" choice when it involves the well-being of a child.

The bleeding heart crowd [:'(]
Hey, I don't consider myself a bleeding heart, but when you live in NYC, your views of the world are quite different than when you live in a town where your wife might be your cousin. lol.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
and I see this a lot around here........
