The Heritage does look sweet stripped down. Almost a Deluxe. I understand the balance aspect. I went from a sportster to a RKS. That sportster could just be thrown around every which way. But, riding two up sucks. I love my RKS, but I would strongly consider a Lowrider S if I was going to get a second bike.

Take a look in your area on Rider-share and Twisted Road. Maybe even Eagle Rider. Do a day rental on a couple. Will cost a couple of hundred bucks, but you'll know damn well which bike you want.

I have an 05 FatBoy and I love it. But it's a COMPLETELY different bike than today's FatBoy. About a year or so ago, my dealer loaned be one to ride for a day while mine was in the shop. I think he was hoping I'd bring it back and want to trade the 05 in for it. No Way! I really didn't like the ride whatsoever for all off the reasons mentioned above. So were I you, I'd go Heritage and make it yours. This way you have the bags/shield should you want them, and ya never know.

BUT...to each their own, so as discussed earlier, ride 'em all - rent each for a day if you can swing it and really spend some time. That will give you your answer.

That five percent left would have me looking at the Indian Chief line.

I think you should go back to that hardtail chopper that you used to have............just kidding.

Actually, you seem pretty conflicted here because you want looks as well as function. The bottom line is that all three of these are modern motorcycles and you can do whatever you want on any of them. The Heritage may tour better than the others, but the others will be adequate with windshield and luggage. I've got a buddy who's an average sized guy who will still ride his Sportster across the country, and he's 61 years old.

Which one is going to put the biggest smile on your face when you look at it? There's your answer.

I'm starting to look into the Low Rider S. I really like it. I wasn't considering it because it didn't have floorboards but I think If I add those 5 1/2 inch MX style mini floorboards it would be good to go.

You might consider the fat bob also. I have a rk and never would’ve thought I would like the fat bob. Got a chance to demo it on a demo truck and loved it.

Not true, whatever "more effort" means. It's just as easy to handle as any other bike.

I'd consider the 114 Street Bob. Sharp looking bike with that new paint scheme.

Man, that Lowrider S is just nasty as hell. I think it would look great with those floorboards. I had something very similar on my Sportster. I bought the MX style pegs from DK Customs. I LOVED them. They rotated like a bicycle pedal and were super comfortable because of the different positions. Let us know what you go with or where you're leaning. I love my RKS, but its fun watching other people shop for a new bike.
