Default Finally! SuperTrapp True Duals on my XR1200

This has been a long haul finding a new SuperTrapp exhaust system for my '09 XR1200, but the deed is done and I like them soooo much better than the ear-piercing Bassani 2-into-1 system. The sound is far more mellow and rich, plus I like the dual SS look much better than the flat black Bassani pipe. Some people love the Bassani system, but it wasn't for me. Anyhoo, here's how it turned out.

Nice set up. I remember I had a Super Trapp spark arrestor on one of my dirt racers. I remember having to pull the baffles or plates out of the end on a regular basis to clean the carbon out. But the important thing was they would not let sparks out!

Thanks. Good thing the caps are easy to remove. What did you race? I did flat track in the 250 class before I joined the Navy. Just a novice "C" rider, but it sure was exciting. Short track and 1/4 mile as well. Had a buddy go to the races with me...same class. During our last race, we were in the same heat. He was in third place, fell in front of me and snapped his clavicle. I nearly hit him.

I like Supertrapps, great pipes that you rarely see around, and I've never seen those.

Pine.... used to race enduros and hare scrambles. I still go to one enduro every year.... the Jack Pine Enduro. This year is the 98th year of the race. I believe this is the oldest, still running enduro in the country. And the Lansing Motorcycle Club is either the oldest or second oldest motorcycle club in the country. Been going up there since the middle 70's. And I'll never get tired of going up there! OH yeah..... I do not race.... I go up and help run checkpoints, road crossings, etc. I gave up dirt biking years ago!
And like you I wasn't that good....I raced because I enjoyed it. And had great friends who raced as well.
