This winter a fellow rider sent me a screen grab that's the source of the PDF in #1. He took a HD survey last Fall that asked about preferred styles for a bike. It appears that's the quick shot in the video. Makes sense to offer a top line "S" now and then with the 2022's sell some ar lower price point. Hope they succeed.
At least i can say I owned two models that HD decided to kill to appease those that want plastic bikes. 1999 Sportster XLCH 1200, and 2002 Dyna SuperGlide and 2005 Dyna Low Rider.

Never mind I just read above where it came from.. interesting.
These new Sportsters are definitely performance cruisers that's for sure.. Its going to be interesting to see how the Harely world receives them and what the demand is.

from the banter here , looks like maybe 50-50 as far as reception
Demand and sales, I wouldn't even attempt a guess.
I'm not anti-change/diversification like many here, but the "S" doesn't interest me.
The bars and forward controls isn't something I'd want on a performance cruiser.

That is a great replacement for the Sportster. I believe that H-D is having a hard time competing with the Indian Scout (which I think is a great looking bike). A lot of older H-D owners probably won't like it but you the MoCo has to change with the times. Plenty of old iron out there if you want one.
