What labor rates are other people seeing? I visited a Honda dealer located in a small town for ATV parts yesterday. Was shocked to see their shop rate is $99.00 per hour. I read the Harley Davidson dealer in Indianapolis was 150.00 a year or two ago with a two week wait this time of year.
Thanks,
Bill.
P.S. I can remember when I had to use a good quality tool three times to pay for it. Now the tool is often paid for the first time. I bought a Mapp gas torch for $50 to change a tie rod end on a farm tractor this morning. The torch paid for itself. I just have to get smarter on electronics.

Reason: More information
The Harley dealer I used to frequent is now closed. The sister dealership 30 miles further away is $110 / hour. These rates are not unique to Harley. My John Deere dealer charges $95 / hour.
It always comes down to the same thing... If you don't like paying what they charge then do it yourself.

Exactly. I have 50 years of tools accumulated, as well as my shop. I still find myself buying specialty tools. I do most of my own work, but totally understand $125+ an hour.
Same as complaining about Medical cost. If you don't think it's worth it don't go.
