I have a 2017 Ultra limited, I have for the 1st time since owning it 'Enabled' the EITMS.
This Saturday after riding two up in hot weather 25 'C' i pulled in to a fuel stop to top up, when I restarted the bike I reckon that the EITMS kicked in as the motor felt quite lumpy, I engaged 1st gear and as i drove off the engine stopped, also the indicators were flashing in hazard mode, I tried to restart but it wouldn't, I turned off the ignition then back on again and it fired up , i had to cancel the hazard lights, is this normal for a hot motor with the 'EITMS' enabled ?
Almost sounds like the tilt sensor triggered. Did the display where the odometer is displayed say “Tilt”? I found out the hard-way, on my ‘12 Ultra, that if I removed the driver seat back bracket and it’s bolts, the tilt sensor comes loose. And it takes some time and turns for it to fall into a position that mimics a tilt, which shuts off the motor, and flashes the hazards. I didn’t even notice the “tilt” message in the display, until the tow truck driver dropped my bike off in the driveway,
