p/s: Through Wednesday morning, 80 motorcycle riders have died on South Carolina roads in 2021....

Very sad for sure. I hate to hear these stories but agree it is important to always remember that bad things can happen anywhere at any time. We live an hour off the Parkway and ride it all the time.Our favorite place to ride. I was up there last Saturday solo and the wife and I both the weekend before. You must stay focused even at 45mph. Especially watching for deer!

Its almost been a weekly thing in this area. MC fatalities. I dont remember it ever being this bad before.

...wifey and I spend a lot of time on the BRP when it is hot outside.
Always cool and is close in for us.
As the years go by, seems like people use it for a byway for travel to
Asheville or Boone to parts further on either way. Thus speeds go up.
Tailgating and illegal passing are becoming more common. Collisions with
animals and vehicles seem to increase more every year.
