Default What do you call the black plastic sleeve around wire harnesses?

I’m doing some rewiring and I want to replace the flexible black sleeves around wire bundles, but I can’t find anything on Amazon - all that shows up is either the woven nylon loom or the corrugated split plastic stuff. I can’t find the smooth, shiny (pvc maybe?) stuff Harley uses for pretty much any harness on the bike… Any ideas what to search for? Thanks.

Yeah I hadn’t tried “PVC” - that’s the operative word. Thanks

When you use this stuff, after cutting to length, make sure you use a flame to seal the ends or it will come apart and look like ***.

The trade term is wiring loom. In case you want a better search.

Well, that’s definitely the case for the mesh loom I already have plenty of. The stuff I was looking for is solid flexible tubing that cuts smoothly. No need to melt the ends.

Yep, I was using that term, but all I was seeing was the split or woven nylon stuff. Adding PVC got the exact results I was looking for.

I call mine Tyrell. It's an African name meaning "stubborn", which fits right in with electrical wiring.

Numerous automotive applications are available, many aircraft grade as well.

Use the search terms, "wiring loom anti-chafe"
