Hi
I m doing ape hanger on my deluxe 2018. I feed the cables though and they just making to come out of the handlebar. Instead of leaving the joint just in between the risers what I m thinking is to cut the stock close to grip side and extend them inside the handlebar. Than I can use the stock adapters to plug in.
my question is can we buy these cables from auto shops and extend or we need to buy those extension kits as they got special cables?
I got throttle digital cable as along with lights , indicator and turn on off switch
thanks
I extended the wires myself. Cut them in a staggered pattern.
I didn't have to unpin the connectors that way.
Easy enough to do, and only cost me about $5 in wire.

Can't recall exactly, but it was regular multi-strand copper wire from the local hardware store.
Used the same gauge as the stock wires, sorry, I forgot what gauge they are.
I'm not much help I guess...haha
