If you have a 1999 title for #2 that could raise questions. Those engine #s will be 84 or earlier.
It's going to take a special buyer. I would take luckiestiff's cash quick.

My guess is that the title for #2 is based on the frame, not the engine, although those aren't HD cases either, so.... The OP needs to look at the VIN on the titles and compare them to the VIN on the frames and engine cases to see what matches and what doesn't. Over time, it has gotten more difficult to title a bike, or in some cases transfer it. While it does vary some from state to state, at the very least they would need to go through a state inspection which may involve checking the VIN's. If transferred out of state by means of a sale, the VIN needs to be verified during inspection in most states. That may get a little sticky for any potential buyers.

The 1999 Shovel looks to have Delkron cases and the heads have been dual plugged, so there may be an MSO somewhere, or the title is based on that already. Next question on that one is what numbers are on the frame? It doesn't look lke an OEM frame to me.

The first bike also has Delkron cases and S&S heads, but I can't tell much beyone that.

The last one is more up in the air as it is very incomplete. And then, how long have these been sitting? When was the last time they were started, etc? If the OP has the skills, time and money, they first two may be fun projects since he owns them already. Or they could be very costly to get on the road again while making it look like what you want it to. But these aren't projects for a novice.

The shovelhead is likely the most interesting, but without first hand knowledge of the condition of the engine and trans I would completely disassemble and possibly rebuild them to know what they actually were and the condition they are in. Mostly the same with the first bike. The last bike looks like an OEM EVO, but has a right side trans, but doesn't look like it has ever been on the road. Just sitting around is hard on bikes.

Even if they're together and running, the value will largely depend on the trustworthiness of the work done.
I mean, I know what's been done in my stuff (first rate all the way), but only my close friends know that, and the bike's been proven reliable in time. In other words, it's only valuable to me, really.
To everyone else, it's buyer beware, and expect the worst-case scenario. Since you don't know what kind of internal quality is in any of that stuff, price accordingly as used and sell as is.
I looked at a Pan some years ago. Was able to mic the cylinders, and they were .070" over. Passed on that one.

Unless they are running, they are just considered a basket case and would be priced in that range. Good that you have titles tho. Do you know if either #1 or #2 have ever been started or run at one time?

Did whoever you inherited this stuff from ever actually finish a project? Or did he just go around and buy up projects that other people abandoned?

You say you want to know what they are worth, but you also say you aren't interested in selling. If you aren't looking to sell, what difference does it make what they are worth?

None of the stuff I've seen from your pix is "Holy Grail" level stuff. Here we have a couple of Evo motors (one with S&S heads) and one cone shovel. No big deal. Add to that some random aftermarket/home built frames and other parts, and who knows what else, all of which looks like it was packed up and forgotten years ago.

You have a few motors in your other threads that might be worth something: The flathead in the UL, the generator shovel, and the pan. The other stuff is all from the cone shovel era and newer, which makes it pretty "meh".

I always suspect that the real question on these threads (and we see them from time to time) is something like "Did I win the lottery here?". In your case, the answer is no. Unless there's more to it than I've seen, there isn't life-changing money here. Almost the opposite, really. As you've no doubt figured out by now, what you really inherited is a whole bunch of chores that the last guy left undone.

He's not allowed to sell on HD Forums until he has been here 30 days. At that time he can post ads in Classifieds and cannot sell in this section.
