I'm almost ashamed to 'fess up" to this as it was the worst "s******g" that I ever got at any dealership (or anywhere for that matter) when buying parts.
Back somewhere between 2004-2005 I developed a "rattle" somewhere in the tour pack of my '00 UC.
I bought this bike new and it had 25,000 or so miles on the odometer part of which included my trip to AK in '00.
During my return trip I discovered that the mounting rack for the tour pack was cracked (a mfg, defect) and I had to replace it once I got home.
When I developed the the new "rattle" later on I thought at first in may have been another broken rack but thankfully that was not the case.

I tried most everything from emptying out the tour pack to removing the tour pack liner but the rattle would not go away!

One nice sunny Sunday I was determined to find (and repair) that annoying rattle so once again I started disassembling the tour pack and it was then that I finally discovered the source of the rattle it was one of these little buggers:

Well, since I had the tour pack disassembled, I trotted off to the local dealer to pick up a replacement part.

The parts guy saidI" can't sell you just one the come in a package of 4, do U want them"?

I said "sure, I gotta have one".
That little package was over $ 32,00 + tax!!!!!
He even agreed that the price was ridiculous and showed me their cost for them!

Flash forwarding several months I was at a local "swap meet" and as I passed a table they had those same little b******s in a box for $ 1.00 each!!!!

HD change Tail lights 2000 and up. I needed the screws that hold the lens cover on for a pre 2000. First the person at the parts counter told me I did not know what I was talking about. " they all use the same screws" It took a few minutes but educated her. Politely.
Little while latter comes back with the correct ones 3 dollars and change for each. I needed them so I paid it. Now the tail light and screws are in a box . And I have CD lights No more 3 dollar screws.
