I would like to replace the 1157 signal bulbs in the front with LED's but I don't want to put compensating resistors in unless absolutely necessary. Some of the replacement items I have looked at state they work with the 2017 touring bikes without the need for any wiring changes. Does anyone know if these will work and if they are a decent product?
Custom dynamics is really the only way to go in my opinion. Been using their products for 10 years and have never had a single issue. And a 17 model shouldn't require the resistors. Careful, you start looking at the custom dynamics stuff you will realize they make leds for things you didn't even know you wanted!
I used to be a huge CD fan, but their latest design lights just do not appeal to me. We went with the new HD LED turn signals on our 21 SGS and they are very nice. A simple plug and play. We went front and back. They have the outer ring halo.
You shouldn't have to install a load equalizer on a 2017 but I don't absolutely know that for sure. I've put full LED lighting on both of my bikes, a mix of Custom Dynamics products and Gypsy Joe's Brand X stuff. The Custom Dynamics stuff has been flawless. The other stuff not so much.

I think these new H-D LEDs look slick. Do they have a gasket/o-ring of any sort to seal around the housing? Do they require a cover like other LEDs/bulbs? Doesn't look like they do, but hard to tell from the few pics I've seen.
For the front turn signals the parts guy recommended Everything LED, I put a set of those on and am satisfied, but for the tail light I went with Custom Dynamics.
