So I am the turd tonight. [sm=smiley11.gif]
I am a huge advocate of riding safely. Last night I took a long ride with my friends and today I told them how uncomfortable I was on the ride.While I said what is not popular, I told them what was on my mind.
I won't repeat the rules of riding in a group as they are available on the net.
The responses I received were mixed and much more polite than I expected.
The bottom line is that I love to ride with my friends, but I will not ride with them if we all do not ride in a safe manner.
This basically makes me ride alone. I do not know any better way to tell these guys that I will not allow myself to be the guy that has to explain to their families what went wrong.
...but yet I am the bad guy...the stick in the mud..I ruin a good time.[sm=smiley18.gif] I'm not happy today.

Rick makes me laugh........that being said, you need to do what you're comfortable with. If these buds can't understand that, then they don't need to ride with you!!!!!

Rick, sometimes it's better to be simply thought a fool.
King, I've been a road captain several times over the years. It's necessary part of a group ride, but it ain't always fun. I got to be the turd on more occasions than I can remember. Better being that turd than scraping up what remains of a brother who wouldn't listen.
