Minivans are rolling speed bumps, many times piloted by morons that think the rest of the world exists to serve them.

WOW, I'm sure glad we traded in our Chevy Astro for a 4Runner. As a side note I noticed I instantly became a better driver too !!!

This has been the best chuckle I've had in a long time. Thanks !

I was merely stating my personal observations of the so called "cager" types that I've come too close for comfort. I'm not stereotyping anyone here. Just an observation. However, has anyone noticed the mini van drivers drive very slow?

If anyone is having issue with my "stereotyping" of mini vans, all forums should ban the "cager" term.

a long time ago a show called the hughlys had the wife taking the husband car shopping for a minivan the sales guy asks" what color do you want it in? " hughlys says "invisible because i aint driving no damn minivan!!!" next seem had him dropping for kids in a minivan.
i use to tell friends in Hawaii you can tell I'm not wiped we have one car and its a jeep you can only fit 2 bags or groceries in it at a time. oh and yes with a storage rack on the back we took a trip from LA to Oklahoma with the 2 kids in the back seat top off we had a blast. but that was before portable dvd players and you actually had to spend time with your kids.

What I noticed around here is that slow drivers (vans/trucks/cars/EVERYTHING) just LOVE to roll along in that left lane. Do they do this on purpose or are there some who don't know about the "slower traffic keep right" rule?

Okay. What is up with mini vans? I swear all of them are out to get me. If I were a gambling man, I would be very rich by predicting what each one will do. Also, does any manufacturer make one that goes faster than 25 mph? Seriously, watch the mini vans, they are the slowest on the road.
All the Manufacturers make high performance models of their minivans. They are called "Arizona Specials" They are capable of speeds well over 150 mph and they dont run well slower than 80. The owners of these special edition models have been instructed to never drive them slower than 90, I believe. The manufacturers of these vehicles have teamed with exotic car manufacturers such as Ferrari and Porsche to develop race inspired suspension for these special edition models. This allows the drivers to cut in and out of traffic at high speeds with the precision of a surgeon. Also the purchase of one of these special edition models comes with a discount to the Bondurant high performance driving school. Granted, not everyone who purchases one of these special vehicles takes advantage of the school, nor does everyone who goes to the school pass.
I feel your pain though. I see the out of state minivans here on vacation, and they just cant seem to keep up.

Damn!
I see so many posts about how we hate when other folks generalize about us cuz we ride a Harley (we're not all 1%'s, outlaws, etc). Aren't some of us a bunch of hypocrites?

Minivan operators = low-class scary drivers
or
Hispanics = possibly illegals
How is that not like saying "Italians (possibly mobsters)"?

It's all about perception. I've seen my share of stupid mini-van operators but we can't say there's NOT also a lot of stupid truck drivers, car drivers, and even stupid motorcyclists.
Focus on all types of vehicles around you.
Start concentrating on minivans a little more than the other cages and it'll be a family sedan that comes outta nowhere to take you out.

And regarding those intoracial profiling: shut your mouth and open your mind.
You're right, I should've said Hispanics=almost definately illegals! (I think I need to stop listening to Sarah Silverman for today...heh heh)

And personally Ithink about 99% of the people on the road are crazy and out to kill me. The reality is out here that SUV's outnumber mini-vans about 2-1.

Actually, the last thing the MSF instructor said to the whole class was "Be especially wary of mini-vans". When asked why, his reply was they're usually driven by soccer moms that are distracted by their kids, their cell phone, or both.

True, but I still see more soccer moms in SUV's. I can't think of anyone that has a minivan (that I know personally at least).

Oh and welcome PhoenixClassic from a neighbor!
