I use a similar cable with a small Master padlock for our hats. I just loop it around a frame member. It lives in a saddlebag. Nice option for your lock!

I read somewhere, maybe here, of someone who was using a set. I tried it and they really do work well and the key is small enough that it fits in the bike's keyfob without poking you through your pockets when riding. I still have my helmets so they must be working.
