Don't know exactly where to post but here is the info
Got an email stating the following
"You have added 'law666 hack@yahoo.com.jp' to your account. If you have NOT added this email address click on the following link to restore your account.
The link then takes you to a fake paypal web page asking for your login id and password.
At first I was really po'ed that someone had hacked into my paypal account......then I checked the web link in the address line of my browser and saw it was NOT the paypal site.
beware the phishing.......wish I could reach that website with my 45...

I've gotten that e-mail a few times now. My rule is NEVER click a link in an e-mail. Always log into the site directly and if there is something you need to know it will be there.

got that one several times plus a different one that says something like there was a problem with my last transaction and i must logon to get it straightened out. since i rarely use paypal i know it is a scam. just delete the bast**ds. if the a$$holes would spend as much time and effort doing honest work as they do on trying to figure out how to scam someone, they would probably quite successful in life.

It isn't PayPal's fault. The solution is don't click on links. If you get an email like this from PayPal, your CC, your bank. Use your browser and go to the appropriate page...not the link.
And yes, seems pointless, but report it to PayPal.

I never click on any link sent to me in an email by a source unknown to me, especially if it has anything to do with an account or asking me to log in via email. Hit the delete key.

Forward any fake paypal emails to spoof@paypal.com

NEVER click on a link in an email that requires a log-in. As stated previously, go directly to the site, and log in there. If you do make the mistake of logging in from a fake email, immediately go to the site and change your password asap !

I think i would forward it we get these for paypal and ebay about once a month.
in today's world of internet shopping paypal is i think the safest way of paying for items. we have an account we transfer money into at our bank when we buy something and then we transfer from that account to paypal. this way we dont have to use our card online or leave our main account open for criminals.
