I am new to this forum, and first post, so I goofed something, let me know.
I have a 2009 Sportster 883, and just swapped out the old incandescent turn signal bulbs with LED bulbs. Since then my Red Key Light stays on. I don't have a Security System on the bike (as far as I know). Is the presence of all LED bulbs causing this Key to stay lit? Or do I have another problem. I am relatively new to biking so my knowledge base has not built up yet. Owner's manual was no help.
Welcome to the forums from Ontario, Canada. Probably need a canbus added. Check where you got the bulbs from (MFG), they're pretty reliable for info Actually changed mine once, put on the emergency flasher and the red key disappeared, maybe I was lucky.
Mine does it too. When I turn on the hazards the little red key light comes on. The light goes out when I use the left side signal, then the right. Didn't do this until I installed the led front turn signals.
You probably need a load equalizer. They can be made with just a couple of resistors, but are available from Custom Dynamics and Biketronics to name a couple.

This should fix the problem , I had same issue and load equalizer fixed both the red key light and the fast flashing. Custom Dynamics has great customer service

I installed one when I did the rear. The key light thing happened after I did the front.
