I wanted to buy a 2022 model.. I watched the Harley web site like a hawk in December/21. The new model lineup didn't show up until very late in the month. I don't recall seeing the color options showing up earlier. Might have missed it.
My dealer didn't get any new stock until near the end of January/22.
Huh? If this is so, and if the new CEO will be releasing the new colors 6 months b4 the release of the new bikes as in the past....shouldn't the new colors be here by now? Or certainly soon??? (The new colors are imp. to me.)
youre correct on the color chart release timeframe
I expect to see pictures of them in this forum soon if a dealership shows it to an user (and this person is keen to take pictures).
It looks to me like the Japanese manufacturers are dropping a lot of models for '23 but I don't see any evidence of that with with the American, British, and European manufacturers, so far. This might be an interesting model year.
Why are you worried about the next year's model? You'll likely just complain it's the same thing over and over, or complain it's different than before and you'd rather keep what you have.

the curmudgeons are legion
My own curmudgeonly ways laments the fact dull, drab colors and black'd chit is the trend of the day
I saw an El Diablo Saturday. Local dealer actually had one (SOLD)
Nice colors. Very busy paint job. I liked the idea of that bike at 1st,
but I'd have to ride one. I can't imagine it being as comfortable as
a Heritage or trimmed down bagger. Not with those foot pegs.
They did say a few models are being dropped for 23 (The EG Standard for one)
I found that hard to believe.

No word on colors or even delivery dates.
That's a shocker to me, but maybe because the SGs are easier to sell and net far more profit. The EG is a fantastic bang-for-your-buck bike. That would be a hit to consumers dropping that out of the line up.
Not familiar where this 6 months figure comes from but also not sure why it matters since you can't buy them until they start selling them.
Maybe it is just a "me" thing my friend, but if I know they will have my colors, then 1) that will give me ~6 months of GREAT joy knowing I'll have my colors back. <-- So that is a COOL bonus and I have not paid 1 penny for the bike but am vicariously enjoying it already. And 2) it makes me feel good I am getting a NEW bike with basically no mileage (4-6 miles) with a NEW whatever warranty that comes with it nowadays and (yes, there is a 3rd and) and it feels GOOD knowing I will no longer have a '17 and will be saddle timing MOST JOYOUSLY a '23.
So to me Keithhu, yuppers for sure, I'll be happy to take those 3 HAPPY emotions for 6 months. Oh yeah!
As Kramer on the Seinfeld show used to say...........Giddy Up.
