My long time issue with HD Corporate is not against HD products, its quite the opposite, its getting them thats the issue for me and thousands more from countries other than the US...yes there is a big world out there. HD Corporate has blocked anyone like me from buying HD Products such as clothing from a US Dealership...they block our cards... I even have a US Shipping address is Portland Oregon. Its not against our Local dealers and they are as frustrated as us. If we did put in an order with a Local Dealer they tell us an estimated delivery date of 12 months or more...yet the same jacket I am trying to buy is for sale at US Dealers... One would think HD would love to sell more to get the brand out there and everyone knows they make more on after market goods and merchandise than on the sale of a bike...Yes I know I can go and buy other brands that are as good and even better but that is not the point it just seems so stupid the HD Block sales of their own products and brands. I have over 40 years riding HD and dont plan on changing, I just wish HD would look after its customers better...who is responsible for that part of the Company, bet they don'
Ive been disgruntled with HD corporate for many years due to the way they treat us loyal customers.
They dont give a single **** about you, me or any other person whos bought their products.
They are also clamping down on internet sales in the USA,seems they want people in their brick and mortar stores.
I don't get it either,that and closing/consolidating dealerships.
I live across the Columbia River from Portland,Oregon in Washington state and our local dealership was bought out and shut down after being there in Vancouver ,Washington since 1946.
I live out in the country and it was the closest dealer some 25 miles from home, now the nearest dealer is on the south side of Portland 50 miles from home and dealing with Portland's god awful traffic.
Ordered a windshield thru HD, given a 30 day delivery time frame, credited to my local dealer as the seller
For 3 weeks I recd updates it will ship in 3 wks, 2, 1,,,,then 4 days before the ship date they cancelled the sale w/no explanation
With the ban against Dealers selling to people outside their area I will only buy from HD as a last resort
I did buy a pair of their Jeans as the "new" Jeans had 2x in price, and a Timer cover
Some people are pissed at the MoCo because they think corporate gives a **** about their customers. That's the first mistake.
The second mistake is corporate thinks they are helping their dealers by limiting their online sales to their local area. That eliminates competition which helps keeps prices down screwing the customers again.

I'm in Canada. I used to buy HD accessories from US dealers on EBay a few years back but I assume the Canadian dealers were complaining to Corporate so they put a stop to that.
I bought some HD saddle bags on EBay from a Florida dealer. Even with the shipping and exchange rate, I still saved at least 40% over my local dealer.

I found out the dealership I used for first new Harley, I have always bought used Harleys is the same way. F them and all that spout the nonsense told by HD overall. Most dealerships are seemingly becoming corporate owned by one entity. The mom and pop model is being eradicated or theyre just folding as they wont do the unethical thing so many like myself are discovering. Tell Lies. Bold Face lies.
Not in HD corner anymore for many reasons.
However issues you have in other countries are most often because HD had to comply with that countries laws and regulation.
often designed by them to be very protective and anti US market.
60 + mile drive each way for me now. I'm pretty much done with them unless no options, even switched to Wix filters and Mobile 1, will buy non HD battery in the spring.
Funny thing is, I could/can buy a Harley Davidson tin sign from Amazon, and it is listed and being sold by a Harley Davidson dealer in Wisconsin. The seller is House of Harley Davidson Online.
Curious as to how they're managing that with HDs new policy.
