No dealership name, just hearsay… 7 dealerships in metro alone. All independent.
and.... ? make a list of their new and used inventories. In the Atlanta metro area there is a very large number of new 2022s still around and the used numbers are really high as well and that is just the HD dealers within an hour or so from my home. most are still maintaining inflated prices on used SGS/RGS models, I have seen 30k on 2018s at more than one.
It will be very very interesting what Harley publishes for fourth quarter SALES. I capitalized that to make the point, they did not mention sales in their bragging in October for 3rd quarter numbers, they focused on shipments and reading their financials their total bikes waiting to be sold went up significantly.

Let's make sure we all understand SALES. Harley, like all other vehicle manufacturers, sells every unit that is built. Those units go directly to a dealership and are considered sold. Yep, say the dealership floor plans with Harley Financial - when the Cert of Origin is produced, it is sold and HD Fin pays for it (and, in most cases, insures it)
Dealer reports a sale once it goes to THEIR end user, the customer.
Kind of vague. Is that $2023 off MSRP or $2023 off their ridiculously inflated pricing?
To clarify: all their bikes are tagged with MSRP, freight, HD surcharge, and that’s the dealer’s stated asking price. So given that freight and the surcharge are less than the $2023, the stated price is below the HD MSRP.

I see you did that, are you the OP? I am not making any claims to any pricing. I do know the metro Phoenix area…not one dealership is tied to another. What dealership is allegedly offering.

Tough crowd!

Heresay? I posted a picture of the actual card attached to the 2022 bikes. I’m there twice a week for club rides.
The owner, Justin, told our HOG chapter that HD sent him a shitload of bikes in December, so that HD could make their year end numbers, and he’s sitting on over $4 million in inventory, so what’s that at dealer cost - maybe 180 bikes? And though I did not personally count the bikes, the place is wall to wall bikes with 70+ parked outside during the day so that there’s room to walk around the showroom, which is packed.
Since I’m never going to buy a new bike again in my life. I like shopping for like new bikes without worrying about all the price scams here . www.nationalpowersports.net

no, I am not the OP. I am merely showing that dealers in my area are not moving many bikes and they have a lot to move.
Back in January 2014 (end of January) when I bought my 14' SGS the dealership I bought mine from had similar deals to chose from, however my dealer tried to say I didn't get the deal because I got a really good deal on my bike, I did get a really good deal on my bike, close to $2500 off MSRP, I told them the price on the motorcycle had nothing to do with with choosing a deal, they said if I could close on the bike before the end of the month they would go thru with the deal, I said to them, get the paperwork done. I chose the parts package. When I bought my wife's 19' heritage at the end of august of 19' I got a free stage 1 and an additional $1500 off, I find it is better to buy at the end of t he month if they are struggling to meet their numbers.
