I understand what he is saying, I would rather finance the bike at lower price and highr interest, then pay off the bike really, really, really early. You know like you poors cant do , just kidding on the last part.
Those are the fees they are taking off. No discount there. Until the dealer decides to remove fees and knock off the price by like 20 percent which is like 4-5k. Then I'll be buying regards of interest rates. I can afford to pay interest. Not like some of you poors out there lol
I am back to my early 2022 stance that I actually caved on until I ran until really rotten dealers... I won't buy a new Harley until the surcharge is removed.
Here in N.E. Wis. I went to 4 different dealers,(on line), Not 1 of them had a new Streetglide. I didn't care because they couldn't sell me another new one if it were 1/2 off! I was just looking to see what the price on a new one is now vs my 15. So I wen to the Moco site to check msrp. Holy F***k ! $8000.00 more than what I paid for my 15 when new. I'm glad I have my 18 I bought used in 19. Paid less than my 15. I love used bikes.
If you consider a returnable, purpose made steel pallet, and a disposable dust cover a crate, then yes, all bikes are... https://youtu.be/bYusYY6PcmI
Wow. Things sure change. When I bought my 1996 RK, I just happened to be @ the dealer when it was being unloaded. It was actually in a wood crate. Sort of a skeleton style. Funny thing. I didn't know it was my bike at the time. The guy running the fork lift screwed up and dropped it a couple feet from the ground. I didn't think a whole lot about it because I ordered a red bike and the bike in the crate was blue. A few days later, the dealer called and said my bike was ready to pick up. When I went to look @ it, we walk outside and there is a row of about 12 - 15 bikes. The dealer stops about 1/2 way and says, "what do you think"? I said about what ? (there wasn't a red one in the bunch) ! He said about your bike ? I told him I don't see a red bike in this line. You should have seen the look on HIS face. That's when he remembered,.... I always ordered red bikes. Unless the reds they had that year were ugly. I ended up with that blue bike cause it was already July and I sold my last one the previous October. There weren't any red ones left that year.
I can’t imagine most people have that disposable income they did a year or two ago and are buying up 20k+ bikes like they were. Every damn thing is up, hell one place had a dozen eggs on sale a few weeks ago for 11 bucks. Wtf.
