I talked to our battery guy yesterday. It is a destructive test. IMO no point to damage your battery unless you have reason to believe it is bad. It will reveal bad battery, but it may make replace a battery that you may have got more time out of it,
You use a tender so you don't damage the battery on a start. They make batteries they claim for that, like marine batteries. Wonder why they claim you need a special battery for draining?
For some reason on this forum, people are just into load testing batteries. I think it is just a simple thing to do, for people who have a simple grasp of electric.
Unless you have a reason to doiubt the battery, why damage it?

At work we measure the resistance between cells for lead acid batteries. This avoids a destructive load test. Some will do a load test because it is cheaper than monitoring batteries.
Unfortunately we do not have this option with our batteries.
Again I avoid a destructive test, and would rather trouble shoot. But some people avoid trouble shooting, and do the load test.
A shop may not want to take time, or be able to trouble shoot
