Cheap **** old man took us cross country to CA & back on a 5 week vacation in the OLD Station wagon with NO AC
HAD this UNIT that attached to the side of the CAR & air flowed thru over ICE to cool the car OFF
IT WAS SUPPOSED to be a BLOCK OF ICE
He bought ICE CUBES
THRU the DESERT BOTH WAYS

I loved your story. I know I am getting sidetracked but my old man made me and my sisters take turns on paying for gas on our way to Disneyland. I was 14 and didnt know any better, cheap bastard. We were cruising through a desert in Nevada at a steady (as seen on the speedo) 130 MPH. Yeah we burned some gas for sure and by the time we got to California the 440 Chrysler developed a tick. Ended up changing pushrods in a parking lot.

LOL!!! God I couldn't count the miles we kids spent stuffed the back of those old land barges in the 60's running between Maryland and Kansas City on two lanes before the interstates were a thing. We were lucky if the windows could be rolled down. Mom wasn't much for pit stops either, the **** jug was a real thing, try that with 3 cranky younger brothers barely out of diapers in a rig packed to roof with luggage and the tailpipe almost dragging....
Cross thread points, fond memories of my childhood...

Nothing more needs be said on this subject, seriously.....
id.
Just like the article stated. some of them are tested every 5 years like the article said for load testing, but some test resistive, I believe yearly, because if doesn't stress batteries. But it is more expensive.
Read the article that was put up, not by me. So it is OK to read it. vented lead acid batteries. Not 12 volt automotive batteries,
i am not quoting any article, your post, your words just explain what batteries you use as posted by you. I didnt read an article, I and others read YOUR post that reads you got batteries working that are 20 years old. Stop deflecting
