New helmets??

Anyone know anything about the new helmets that are DOT approved but not as bulky as the conventional 1.5" styrofoam ones?

Here's the link to the DOT page for ACC helmets. I bought one for myself and one for my wife. They are VERY light and comfortable, and have the low profile look you're after.

I forgot to mention... I ride with a cop aquaintance somtimes and when he saw this helmet he did not believe it was DOT approved. We don't have to wear helmets in Indiana so it's a moot point anyway. I showed him the helmet online and he was quite surprised it was DOT approved. It's that low profile.

I wanted one of those ACC helmets, but I prefer a 3/4 and they don't make one. We should start herassing them to make one! Ifound Daytona helmets instead. Their helmets are very low profile. The one I bought is almost exactly the same size as my 1976 Shoei. Also, it's a third of the price of the ACC. I'm attaching a picture of my vintage Shoei (left)side by side with my new Daytona (right).
