I have the BCS w/o the gel option. When my seat was ordered they weren't in production for the 07 model Fat Boy. I had to wait awhile... they also offer different stiching choices, which I wasn't offered. If the gel is suggested I'd trust DG and go for it. The seat is good for short distances. I'm not sure I'd ride across country on it but then I don't ride for more a couple of hours at a time. I think the BCS is considered a "bar-hopping" seat.

For those of you with the Danny Gray Buttcrack Solo that seem to love the seat, did you include the "gel" option? I am ordering one as soon as I get back from the desert and Sherry told me the gel helps with the butt numbness on longer rides. Just curious what you guys that actually have the seat think. Is it worth the extra 75 bucks or so?

just got back from 1500+ on my Danny Gray Big Seat and it just keeps gettin better. I do stop every 100-150 or so to stretch my legs too, so I cant say how it would sit from tank to tank.
