How do you feel when a biker dies because he's doing 100+ and being reckless?
Im in upstate NY and few days back we had a guy on a sport bike die.
He died on a road that the local harley dealership is on, and that leads not only to vermont but alot of nice country areas.Basically hundreds of bikers go up and down this road every day.
Ive been down it hundreds of times myself both on a bike and in a car, and their are no real sharp or hard turns its I never have to touch the brakes at all going down it.
For this guy to not be able to make those gentle curves he had to be doing well over 100 mph.
I dont know about you guys but I have a hard time feeling sorry for this guy, I mean if he wasn't riding like an idiot he'd be alive right now. Maybe im just a pric* for thinking that way.
RE: How do you feel when a biker dies because he's doing 100+ and being reckless?
I feel bad for the guy that he died for basically being stupid. We have a friend we ride with from time to time, he does not ride like a grandma but, does not give it hell at all........when we screw around, which is not too bad at all...he just says "I am in no hurry to kill myself" and does not screw around at all...........Like I said our screwin around is not too bad, it is within our limits..maybe going alittle faster in the twisties, not 100 miles an hour or anything like that.
RE: How do you feel when a biker dies because he's doing 100+ and being reckless?
If he indeed was going that fast then I feel the same way about him as I do about the guy on a sportsbike on the freeway today, he was driving down the freeway talking on a cell phone held to his ear with his left hand.

I feel bad for the guy... and lucky. I have done some crazy things in my life. Many could have caused harm to me or others. So, I am certainly not in any position to judge, but to be thankful that I made it to a place where I'm old enough - and maybe smart enough - to make fewer stupid decisions.

Perhaps cruel to say, but glad he didn't slay any others.
