I was thinking about that, lever wraps may be the next addition.

I guess you don’t have to be OCD to want it the way it should be.

I had to retighten my grips a few times. I couldn’t care less how the laces look. I just wanted them tight.

"The way it should be" According to whom? The wraps and laces look good and function well, if the laces being slightly less than perfect bothers you, I would call that OCD.
I am a little bit of a perfectionist myself and if they are good enough for me, that is all that matters.

It’s called constructive criticism. Take your attitude and shove it.

Just finished my first ride, with the grip wraps, on the back country roads of So. IN. A beautiful 1 1/2 hr. ride today, winding through the hills and forests.
I discovered I am going to have to redo the wraps because the laces are not fitting perfectly in the crotch of my hand, between thumb and fingers. I need to rotate the laces approx. 3/8" up on the grip, for maximum comfort.
Rest assured, for you OCD perfectionists out there, I will do my best to make sure the laces are consistent and symmetrical. LOL!

RHD , for starters , I meant no disrespect , if I was your neighbor , I would have been over in a heart beat to put them on for you . Yah , I'm kinda ocd , if not a bit of a perfectionist , I blame my kindergarten teacher for yelling at me when she tried to teach the class how to tie shoe laces , I should have stuck with velcro , Lol .

How do I explain .... On the first two holes closest to the switch pack , lay the lace across the two holes ( side by side ) then feed each end into each hole ( inwards ) , then cross them on the underside , then feed the ends out of the next set of holes , you'll notice that the next set should be the good side up and so on .

I hope this works for you !

MyFavRK, Thank you, I did not feel disrespected by you. As I stated I would have preferred to have the laces all showing the smooth side out but could not find an example of how to do it that way so I just copied the way it was done in the photo by the seller. I appreciate your time to try and tell me how to do it. It sounds like the method you described will result in an X pattern of laces, which I think would be fine vs. the under/ over pattern I used. Am I envisioning that correctly? When I redo them I will try your method and see how it looks.

A couple on here were getting finicky, I think, about the laces not being perfectly tensioned or symmetrical, if I understand their comments correctly. I thought that was a little OCD. I also do not mean any disrespect for anyone that is OCD. My wife is OCD so I live with it every day and have come to understand that it is not something you can control or just dismiss. I do consider myself a perfectionist with my craftmanship maybe just shy of being OCD and admitted that the left grip was slightly less perfect than the right one so I will be redoing them to adjust the lace position as mentioned in previous post.

I have come to expect a little back and forth banter/ criticism on this forum, keeps it interesting.
but I admit being told to shove my attitude up my ***, by another poster, was a little uncalled for, but I don't take it personal and can just laugh it off.

Again, thank you for your input.

I used to be borderline OCD. But it really takes the joy out of life, and increases anxiety. Some things I try to be perfect at, like cutting lumber for construction, but on things that don’t matter that much, like laces, I don’t waste mich time on. I don’t have a show bike, if it was I’d follow some of the constructive criticism on here.

Harleys grips are disappointing, Hard and cheap looking. Jap.

Myself not a fan of laces hanging down. As for orientation, I wonder if the laces should face the ground, which would be least contant with hand, not out as suggested. But I have never tried a set to know.

Maybe give them a whir. Though concerned they won't work as well with heater or have to crank up shortening lifespan. Probably over thinking.
Amazon Amazon

I laugh how people throw OCD around.
