Default Leather grips

Just installed some leather grip wraps. Took a few try's to get the laces in a comfortable position and get them tight and even.
The original stock grips were starting to feel a little gummy, when weather is hot. This seemed like a less expensive alternative than replacing grips. Just finished so I haven't drove it yet but I think I will like them and I like the look and feel of leather. Not to sure if if I like the tassels yet but will try for a bit and see. I can always cut and tuck them later if needed.

Available at Amazon for less than $30..00

They are good grips. I installed the heated grip version on my FLHTK a few months ago. Deluxe Leather Black Padded Vibration Dampening Leather Motorcycle Grip Covers for Heated Grip HD Motorcycles on Amazon.

Water or rain is not a concern I presume?

Got a little sloppy on the clutch side.
That would drive me nuts.

I like them , especially on the heritage , nostalgic .

Ranger is right , I would redo the lacing so the smooth side is facing outwards , the pain will be worth the time .

I've been using leather wraps for years on several bikes. At first they usually will loosen up a little and the laces will need to be tightened. You can also get leather wraps for the clutch and brake levers which IMO are an even better upgrade.

No, getting wet is not a concern, If they get wet they will dry out and if they stretch out I can tighten the laces.

I am not a leather worker so I couldn't see how to lace and keep the smooth side out, I would prefer that also. This is the way the seller shows them laced.
I will try to find an example of how to lace with the smooth side out. I don't mind the time and effort. If you know how please enlighten me or give me a link on how to do it?

Yeah, I got a little better on the throttle side, the second one done. I'm not OCD so it wont drive me nuts but I may consider redoing it at some point.
