Dale's Wheels Through Time Museum Maggie Valley,NC
Does anyone have 1st hand information concerning possible flooding at the museum. Was there again last Monday to speak to Matt about something. Newly renovated motel we stayed at. Everything new. Called them....number disconnected. Called the museum. Voice mail not set. Just called there two weeks ago again both times normal business hours. Voice may not set up. The creek mentioned in one mention I could find said creek over flowing. Another cars getting stuck on Socco Rd which the museum is on. Would appreciate any news. So much that would be damaged that isn't replaceable.
@NorthernPlus I have moved this thread from the Welcome section to the General Harley Davidson Chat section as you will get better responses to your question in this section.
The Welcome section is more for introducing yourself & letting other forum members know what Harley Davidson you own. Please feel free to post a new thread back in the Welcome area to introduce yourself.
Major flooding in Maggie Valley. I saw a Facebook post that said the poster had contacted Matt; water came up to the front door but did not get inside the building; parking lot was hit though. I would suspect that it will be a while before anyone can stay in Maggie Valley
The major roads into the entire region are mostly being restricted to emergency vehicles and local traffic (or at least were a couple of days ago). Relief and rescue is happening via helicopter. National Guard units from a half dozen states are assisting with disaster assistance in western NC. The destruction in the entire region is nothing short of apocalyptic and cataclysmic. Quite possibly worse than the two hurricanes that converged on the area inside of two weeks in 1916.
