Once you get back, hit it with a grinding wheel then some rattle can paint, or polish it up.
It’ll look as good as new.

Getting burned out a little.. in 12 months I’ve on a recreation basis, from the frame up built a Springer softail including stroker motor and rebuilt tranny with back cut gears, went 150 tire upgraded to four piston calipers, tore down a road king rebuilt motor stroker, rebuilt tranny back cut gears all general maintenance for a 90 softail including rebuilding the top end and back cutting the gears, did a top end on a buddies bike, laced wheels, repaired seized axle, fixed several clutches starters and leaks, cam swaps on buddies bikes… today I’m finishing rebuilding the suspension “again” on the Road king and upgrading to four piston front brakes.. I’m looking forward to working on the house and just riding for a bit. I work full time and actually want to focus on work for a bit.

I considered that but it really isnt as thick as you may think. Maybe 3/4inch max and I really wanted a full 2 inches. Remember Im 65. My seat pushes me back two inches. I have 2 inch extended pedals & floor boards. The wife is small but it was pretty uncomfortable for me. It pushed me back forward.

Im coming out of my skin wearing the dumb hat. Wife really wanted to go with some friends to this line dancing Western barn ridiculous. I had to listen to hours of LED Zepplin to get that cancer of music outta my ear. Being in bands I was always the Rocker couldnt imagine any situation ever being that Id wear a cowboy hat, be in a line dancing bar or hear that many songs about alcohol, break ups, dogs and tractors.
all you got to do is play a country song backwards and all your dogs will come home the creek will go back to normal. and all your old girlfriends will want to come back. and all your tires will reinflate
