Yeah, that's what I'd saw every time I went and this was before madhouse it's become today. I quit the rally in 1990 because of the crazy. Made the drive up to get what was left of the bike and his gear for the widow in 92, hit head on by two rocket kiddies racing with passengers, estimated they doing over 90mph. Killed 4 including my bud Lee.
Did my last so called group ride in 1990 also. 12 bikes, local HOG chapter with 3 spanking new riders in the Serria's on I-80. I never rode in these groups, I'd always drop back a bit, no trust in skill levels when one of the newbies up front did something and took down 7 machines. 2 dead and a very long evening.
