Well, good news for me at least. I took my final road test today and am now the proud holder of an official class 6 (BC) motorcycle license. My new sporty will be arriving any day now so good times are ahead.
I'm getting my bike from Trev Deeley. ICBC makes you jump thru a ton of hoops to get licensed these days, which is good in a lot of ways but not so good in others. I'm just glad I got it done on the first try!
I picked mine up at Steve Dranes on the island. This being my first HD, I thought I would have to pay through the nose for insurance. Not the case though. I had the insurance people come to the dealership, let them know I had my license since '83 and got a 43% discount. Never rode a bike since '85 so I guess I lucked out. I was at Deeley's last month, that is quite the shop he has there.Enjoy your new ride.
I'm not much for government control, but I wish all the new drivers had to take a class on how to use their signals, and why they should turn into their own lane and not clip other people on the road cause their lazy a$$ parents wouldn't teach them how to think about what's really going on.
I got idiot kids, and adults, that think when you turn into your lane at a intersection, and it keeps them from crossing over 2 lanes of traffic and keeping you from making your turn, that " it's you're fault" cause they had to make a correction and actually think for a minute. Or, not use their signals and cut you off when you're running 65 on a surface street, like I'm supposed to do 45 mph or sumpin'
All jokes aside, it's nice to know that people actually know how to drive and not kill each other in traffic that is worse as it's ever been. Been crazy this summer in Phoenix, and the snowbirds, old folks that drive like crap alot of the time, aren't even here yet.
