Except for the power windshield ( it was manually adjustible), you just described a 2001 Honda Goldwing 1800. That year, Harley caught up to the 90s Kawasaki Vulcan 88s by introducing their own 88 cu.in. engine. I bought my Harleys for several reasons, but never because they had the latest technology - there's nothing to worry about this year either.

The new frame feels cramped. My 07 Dyna Street Bob had plenty of room for my 35" inseam. I was interested in a new StreetBob, rode it for a few blocks and came back. Darn thing was so lacking in leg room. Salesman said "you can make it fit", why make bikes to fit only short people?

My guess would be higher prices and lower quality parts to bring costs down.

Maybe because Dyna was rolled into the softail line?

I test rode one and I understand what MesquiteFLD is talking about. I dunno, I usually buy new, but I got the itch to find a late '90's 80 cid 5 sp Evo Heritage and do a complete revamp. We'll see.

Blasphemy.

The great Dynas were just discontinued

To think them anything like a Softail...is just wrong.

A 35" inseam is not average. Average height man's inseam ranges from 30-32" (per AU search).

Agreed. I’m 6’3” and only buy 32” inseam jeans, 33-34 for riding. I *might* be a little long waisted, but Harleys do seem to be made for those "less tall” than me.
