Question Motorcycle Seat Pads?

Found out the hard way a new seat I thought was better turned out to be a literal pain in the ***.

Now I have to either have it customized or settle for a seat pad.

I have no idea from experience what the good quality seat pads are, or what works best.

My problem is that the new Harley seat is too narrow up front and drops off where the original stock seat had more support under the thighs, causing real pain in the center of the buttocks and severe numbness in the nuts.

Does anyone here know what pads are good?

Thanks in advance...

I've used AIRHWAK pads before, not bad.
I've used sheepskins with good results.
I've spent THOUSANDS searching for the right seat........
Just got a new to me ROAD ZEPPELIN air seat.........only time will tell how it comforts my skinny a$$.

On a 2008 Heritage Softail Classic.

Stock seat is on the right.

'Signature Series', new seat on the left..

(Pointing to the spot where it drops off under the thighs.)

Try that seat without the backrest. I tried a backrest on mine once and I had the same problem because it pushed me a hair too far forward.

The only seat pad I've tried is the mesh one designed for airflow, which I like, and the Wild *** which is also good. The only issue I had with the Wild *** is going up or down in altitude changes the air pressure, but I can't imagine anything better once I figured out how to dial it in.

I rode to Alaska without a back rest. Unless you get the perfect angle it won't help me. if healthy getting out and riding and conditioning muscles is best.

Airhawk.

I personally don’t use one, but I have multiple secondhand success stories from my wife and a riding partner.

Shake Rider I had an Air Hawk for quite some time but it finally wore out. A fellow rider suggested this one and I have had it for 2 years. It isn't inflatable, it is a gel pad. The wife and I both use them.
