You can have my 2008 Ultra Classic Anniversary bike. I got it Monday the 10th of Sept. and its a PIECE O JUNK.
Traded a perfectly fine 2005 for it and I want my old bike back..... Get you 1000 bucks back! Keep it in the bank.

That's the beauty of buying low mileage, recent vintage used bikes from private owners. No dealer b.s., and besides you save a ton of money!!!

Some dealers have 08s in the back room but won't bring them out until the 07s are off the floor.
And yes, back in 93 I had to wait several months and when my bike came in, it was the wrong color.
They said, take it or leave it - I took it and even liked the color better.
As for getting a deposit back, should be pretty easy if you want it. Make enough stink & I am sure they will give it back.

We heard last night in our HOG meeting that MoCo was scaling back production, which any business will do if floor inventory in the field is still high. Which means it's a buyers market if you want to look at an '07. All depends on how badly you want a bike now. As a number have said, there's real opportunity out there if you have patience, are willing to look, and perhaps travel.

There are quite a few 07's on the floor of my local dealership as well. They had a few 08's on there, but I would imagine they are trying their best to sell the older bikes off first (I think they have to before they can sell the 08's).
But, since you ordered yours well before the 08's officially came out, I don't think that has any bearing on it. You probably just shot yourself in the foot for an 08 with the items you wanted (ABS...), because it's coming on the slow season for sales, especially up north, so you might not be able to get an 08 just like how you want for a little while...

What's strange is the dealers I've been to want more or the same money for the 07 than what the 08 is selling for.
