Home I will have my baby in the garage and locked up. She will have the HD security system w/pager as well, but how do you guys secure your baby when you are out and about? Chains and or locks?
This issue worries me to death. While we were at the Myrtle Beach rally our motel had hired an extra guard just to watch the bikes. All the guys parked their bikes in one area together and the guard stayed with them all night. While we were at the shows, bars, I doubled locked the switch/ column and just prayed it would be there when we returned.
Around town I usually just lock it and turn on the security system. When going to a rally, someone's girlfriend will usually drive a truck pulling a trailer that we use as a garage (as well as using it to haul all the stuff we take along).
Dude, I always thought the pager alarms seemed kinda silly, but it's starting to sound like I need to get one for my Glide. I'd hate to have to hunt down and disembowel a thief.

I carry the H-D heavy duty cable lock to lock 2 bikes together if I'm with another one. Otherwise, I lock it and hope!!! I try to not stray too far and check on it periodically. IMHO locks and security systems keep honest people honest and do very little to deter professionals. Oh, and keep the insurance premiums paid!
