Hello, I'm in the market for a new helmet and have been looking mostly betweenShoei's rf-1000 and the multitec. I just wanted to know if anyone had experience (good or bad) with either of these models.
Thanks for any info you can provide

I have the Shoei X-11 full face and love it. It's light and has very good airflow. I only wear mine though when it gets cold and/or rainy. Excellent quality.
I just got a multitec for when I take long trips. Handmade in Japan, topnotch fit and finish, and a very user friendly latching system for the flip up face. One bit of advice, make sure you try them on! I have a fairly large melon and I always buy x-large hats, helmets and what have you. With a Shoei, I was able to go with a large.

I also have this helmet. Wore it in this morning in fact. The fit and finish are superb and the airflow is one of the best, if not the best, on the market.
Shoei makes a great helmet. Just make sure you try it on. I have found my head to be more Arai shaped. I've got a big head...at least that's what my wife keeps saying.

Shoei's are nice although if I am wearing full face I wear an Arai. I find them a bit lighter and more comfortable for my head. You can't go wrong either way.

He's right. Arai does make a good helmet. BUT... personally I hate their shield release mechanism. Check that out if you plan on using a different shield depending on the amount of light.
