I dropped my Heritage doing some parking lot practice today. The bike was nice enough to rub it in by displaying "tip" in the odometer. I'm curious if the computer records that event. I can't really think of when it could used against me, except maybe at trade in time, but you never know. It is kind of cool thatthe bikeshuts down when it falls over.
Hmm. Wow, that's pretty cool technology I guess. I mean, you don't have to run over and be sure the bike's shut off for safety. Sorry you dropped your bike, I know how hard those slow maneuvers can be. I bet it did record it. Do you know how to do the "diagnostics" thing on the speedometer display? That may show that you dropped the bike. To do the diagnosticslook at the top/sticky threads of the Sportster forums. That thread may or may not apply to your bike, but it's worth a try. The diagnostics worked on my Sportster last time I tried.
I thought this was going to be about something completely different. Like maybe it became cool to display one's "tip" when riding now. Maybe there'll be new Harley apparel to accomodate this shortly!
