Well it was more likehe hit me. Anyways I was heading out last night about 8:00 to meet up with some friends, I was about a mile from my house. The road has a ton of deer, so I am always on the lookout. I spottedhim about 10' off of the road, I slowed, he stopped. As I was about past him he jumps out, I hit the brakes---locked up therear and he bounces off the front of the bike.
I didn't lay it down, and there was no damage to the bike other than some fur he left behind. He tumbled into the culvertin the other lane, and then took off.As it happened it was like slow motion, it shook me up---but I pressed on. At the next light a guy in a truck that was behind me was like are you alright, I don't know how you kept it upright.
I'm not a real religious guy, but I can say somebody was looking out for me last night. I just want everybody to slow down and keep your head up the deer are everywhere this time of year. Take it easy
It's the primary reason I try to avoid dawn, dusk and night. And down here it's getting worse as people are feeding them like pets....
but they need to be shooting them like food. Around here our population is greater than when the first long hunters came into TN from the Cumberland Gap. My wife totaled her Bonniville a few years ago on Xmas eve when a 8 point buck crashed into her.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse! Those deer can really do some damage!
I was playing Road Captian at the Pacific Rally and had a Momma and 2 babies jump into the road in front of me....If there would have been one more deer I would have been having Venison....right on a corner too. Scared me to death.....I hear so many stories on here about deer....I thought I was toast. (broad daylight by the way)
Hit and killed one back in '82. That SOB broke my right collar bone and leg. [&:]
If it were up to me, hunters could hunt those useless animals with machine guns and hand grenades...Yup I hate them that much...them and the overabundance of turkeys we have around here...[:@]
I have expermented with deer while driving my car - slow down and hit the horn if you see them- 99% of the time they turn AWAY and run off. I have been told that if you can't stop 100%you should never swerve but hit the deer straight on...no personal experience though.
