Rocks Falling From the Sky!
Ever had this happen?
I was one the interstate on my way to work, and just started getting pellet my small rocks... There is no one really around me. I look ahead. There is a Semi hauling a load of something, it's pretty far up, but I guess that stuff can travel, so I figure it's gravel it's carrying and that's what's up. So I speed up to pass it, but this truck is moving slow as molasses in front of me (only 2 lane I-25). Get past the Semi, it still does not stop... well, maybe it's the truck in front of me? I pass him too... It still does not stop... Crazy! It's coming down hard too! I scan around, there is another Semi with similar rig probably another 1/4 mile up,and no way it's that, could it be? I hit the throttle hard, and the rocks keep hitting me... I blow past the semi, still didn't stop, only things around are a few little Sedans and such... Where are the rocks coming from?...
Another few miles and it stops... I am really lost on where those things were coming from... Not windy... clear day... very little traffic. Just a hail of pebbles... Other drivers looked a little confused too...
Any thoughts? Was it a flock of any migrating rocks? Was I just being blind to something? Could a truck carrying gravel miles ahead be sending it that far back? I am clearly missing something I should have seen or been/be aware of.
Thanks
