So, maybe its because I'm relatively new to forums, but what is the deal with the spelling of certain words -- azz, ****, f@ck, etc. Who are we trying to kid? Are we trying to keep these forums clean for the kids? Consider that most of these words I see spelled wrong are heard on prime-time TV these days. Here we are, a biker forum, using words like azzhole to describe that cell-phone cager, when we all know what we really mean.
Now I checked through the FAQ's and could find nothing about this. So, I guess I'm asking -- is this protocol, or something that just got established over time, because from my viewpoint, its silly. Like saying frick. If you want it to be clean, leave out the word entirely. If you mean to say the word, say it, not some watered down AM radio version.
I for one don't see the value in adding words that don't add anything to the expression, such as the words you are referring to. A former gutter mouth, I decided one day that it did nothing for my image or persona, and dropped the superfluous expletives from my conversation. I don't like to hear it on TV, the Movies, or anywhere else.
But then as a former chimney mouth, I hate cigarette smoke too.[sm=GrowUp.gif]
