Why have 'laws', 'law enforcement personnel', or the 'court system'...?
Very simple answer...
In today's society how many people could actually handle the situation if it was a matter of survival of the fittest, where you had to rely on yourself when problems or issues developed.
Many people thatbadmouth the police or the judicial systemare the first to call law enforcement, or run to the courts to sue someone when they feel someone did them wrong.
What then would we do with all of the out of work cops, judges and attorneys?. They have no real skills that would qualify them for any other work.
You have absolutely no clue of what you spew out of your mouth most of the time although I do agree with you about most of the liberal judges and attorney's.You make a blanket statement which of course shows you are probably nothing buta cop hater. I'm surprised you didn't say anything about donut's. It may not have occurred to you but a lot of police officers actually like to help people and really enjoy that part of their job. There are many people who work who have no real skills, hell you could be one of them, we wouldn't know. Why don't you tell us what you do so we can make jokes about your job. There are many police forces in this country the require at least an associatesdegree to be ontheir police force plus a whole lot of intense training. Also adegree doesn't mean that much as I have known many so called professionals in many lines of work with their so called degrees who are dumb as crap with no common sense. Look at our government if you need any examples. If your intent was to stir the pot then you've made a good start with me anyway. Of course I guess you could be joking but I doubt it.
I am glad that you said it, I couldnt have better myself. Mr. Thompsons statement is just typical talk out of someones a$$. Why? Who knows I guess its just the built in "i'll bad mouth cops" attitude that so many have. Just a showing of ignorance thats all.
How this thread turned to cops doesnt make sense anyways. The point of laws, too many laws and what the laws are has nothing to do with police. Police dont make your laws, if a law pisses you off, dont cry about how unfair the police are, moan to your politicians.
But for the real point of this post.
The statements about needing less laws if people actually treat each other fairly is true, but that could never happen. It seems like society today is taking a continual turn for the worse, and with some of the craziness that continues to occur you wonder why we dont have more laws.
And of course a lot of laws are pushed through via help from insurance companies. For example, seat belts. Do you really think cops care if you have your seat belt on? Nope. If you wear your seat belt in an accident there is less damage to you thus saving the insurance companies lots of dough.
Yup! When all is said and done, I like LEOs. Their place is unique within what is otherwise going on in the country. They wear kevlar and rush into burning buildings so I don't have to.
the helmet law SUCKS! but write your congressman -you got to be joking. He'sprobably in an airport bathroom trying to indulge in what sick behavior he is good at.
What then would we do with all of the out of work cops, judges and attorneys?. They have no real skills that would qualify them for any other work.
Very funny. To bad most are too sensitive to get the joke. But then what would you expect..................
Give me a break, sensitivity has nothing to do with it and what does your comment "But then what would you expect..." supposed to mean. His remark wasn't even that funny. This was just another slam against cops even though he included lawyers and judges.
Laws are guideline that have come about in order to serve the needs or wants of the "majority" of citizens.
Not necessarily. Many laws, regulations, rules, etc. came about as the result of special interest lobbying. Some are a knee-jerk reaction to one particular incident. Many are the result of one small group of people lining the pockets of the required politicians.
If you do not like the law, work to change it
This is actually the only part of your post that makes any real sense. However, we have grown lazy and timid. It is much easier to whine and bitch that it is to actually WORK to change something.
