If we all could behave in a way not offensive to others, ie... Do unto others as you would have others do unto you...
~~~~~ since you said you were not perfect (an understatement) I can understand the attack on this guy, who wasnt even talking to you. You attack a whole state at one time but try to sound enlightened in your initial post. Poser....
You sound just like the typical inbred AL redneck that can't see past his sister...........
It wasnt very funny but if you could read smileys you could plainly see its a wink. sheesh gents...I took it as a joke as the nextposter did. No one jumped all over the donut in a can to get out of tickets thread last week...another joke. I found the attack on Alabamians much more sincere and heartfelt..
What then would we do with all of the out of work cops, judges and attorneys?. They have no real skills that would qualify them for any other work.
Very funny. To bad most are too sensitive to get the joke. But then what would you expect..................
Give me a break, sensitivity has nothing to do with it and what does your comment "But then what would you expect..." supposed to mean. His remark wasn't even that funny. This was just another slam against cops even though he included lawyers and judges.
I was just kidding. Jesus Christ! I'm a banker. Go make fun of it if you want. Oldfartjc, your name istoo fitting.
bottom line i think is that cops have a thankless job. i appreciate most of them but i think a few take it a bit far.
I'll never understand why someone will take a jab, make a joke, whatever, KNOWING it's a hot button issue and that it's bound to **** people off. Take it a step further in a face to face setting and you'll have a great example of why it's necessary that we have laws.
i give the jab, make the joke, knowing it's a sensitive issue all the time. it's a great way of finding out about peoples character. if you can't laugh about yourself or the stereotypes surrounding your line of work then i think you take yourself way to seriousley. i think i laugh at my own expense more than anybody elses. if someone really gets so pissed off by some name calling that they want to brawl then they are just too high strung imo.
My wife and I are teachers. We are pretty stupid come to think of it. The only real way for us to feel smart is to have parent-teacher conferences. It is sort of like someone hanging out with an ugly person in order to make themselves feel less ugly. Parents have that same affect on us.[/blockquote]
like I said, you are the offensive one in this thread, go ride your73 CB 175 and try to be an adult.
Wow, this is getting a little ugly... but remember one thing. Not one single cop, NOT ONE, ever passed a law. Period. They are simply the MESSENGER. Get it? Ya 'spose there are laws that cops DON'T like enforcing, but have to due to their oath? Sure there are, but their hands are tied. Arethere are some a$$hole cops out there? Sure, show me a professionaren't anya$$holes. Doesn't exsist.If it weren't for laws, we would have pure anarchy. If you believe otherwise, you are deluded.
