bought the quick release winshield with my 07 Dyna Low Rider, never a problem, however, when releasing the locking clamps, make sure the front wheel is straight... learned lesson my putting a small nick in my tank paint... bummer... still the windshield was a terrific addition and rarely comes off, usually only to wash bike ... Mine works great. I recommend putting a thin layer of felt or rubber padding to protect your forks were mounted.

I love it. I feel like the dork from hell when it is on so I like the "quick release" part!! I use it on loooong rides and when I get to the hotel I rip it off an throw it in the room. I don't put it back on until I am on my way home and the second I pull into the garage I rip it off again!!!

Follow the directions on installation; e.g., don't fully tighten clamp bolts until windshield is in installed on bike to make sure clamps are aligned properly.

great luck with mine on my WG. Use it all the time when touring, and the quick release makes it handy and easy to take off for bar-hopping.
