Cop hits biker
Copsget use to the fact, that other vehicles get out of their way, so they don't follow the same rules of the road that civilians do. I am not stating this to bash police, but it just turns out that way. I am sure most of them don'tdrive like that purposely.

Many departments impose pretty stiff sanctions if a cop is involved in an "at fault" accident. Mine, for instance, I'd be looking at about 3 unpaid days off PLUS the ticket and court problems. I hope the biker is alright, I'm sure she does feel bad about it.
Just saying........
Right down the street from my house yesterday a cop was turning onto our street and pulls right out in front of the biker. Hits him head on. The guy was riding a new Honda but still a motorcycle.
We heard the sirens after other cops responded and walked down to see what was going on. It was a young chick cop and she was standing there, beside her cruiser with a grin. I couldn't get over the fact that she had this chit eating grin and didn't look remorsefull in the least.
The biker walked to the ambulance then got taken to the hospital. I think he is alright but screwed up his elbow pretty good.
I looked in our paper today to see if it was mentioned at all about a cop pulling out in front of a motorcycle, it wasn't mentioned at all. Not even in the policecalls part.

I don't usually get into these discussions. I would just like to point out that if you did not see the accident how do you know how the accident happened? I have beento several accidentswhere it took a accident investigation team to figure out what and who was at fault. Female cop was smiling not showing remorse? Maybe, if the female cop was responsible for the accident, she wasjust relieved he was not more seriously hurt?
Do cops get in accidents? yes. Should they get fired? No. They are ACCDENTS! But should a cop have several accidents he/she will receive additional training and if that don't work then they probably would be fired.
If you see improper driving by a police officers, just call his department and complain. Give your name and address, description of your car, license number and the route you usually take home!! LOL... Lighten up... Cops are people too!![/align]

Oh, where in my post did I say I knew what she was thinking?
Yeah your a great detective, taking things out of context.
The meaning of this post was not to bash cops or the young chick cop, it's how the paper won't print an article on a cop doing something wrong and the fact that she had a chit eating grin after the accident when everyone standing around felt she should have had a different demeanor about her after hitting someone head-on.
