Cop hits biker
Right down the street from my house yesterday a cop was turning onto our street and pulls right out in front of the biker. Hits him head on. The guy was riding a new Honda but still a motorcycle.
We heard the sirens after other cops responded and walked down to see what was going on. It was a young chick cop and she was standing there, beside her cruiser with a grin. I couldn't get over the fact that she had this chit eating grin and didn't look remorsefull in the least.
The biker walked to the ambulance then got taken to the hospital. I think he is alright but screwed up his elbow pretty good.
I looked in our paper today to see if it was mentioned at all about a cop pulling out in front of a motorcycle, it wasn't mentioned at all. Not even in the policecalls part.

Had it almost happen to me once.
Coming down a road at 45 and a cop pulled out right in front of me, had to slam on the breaks to avoid it.
And yes, cops are often above the law in traffic situations.

And the truth is I have seen many, many, many LEO's regularly ignore traffic laws while on duty.

Maybe, Kolni, but the point of THIS thread is what Earthdog says happened down the street from his house. I'm calling BS because his story sounds wrong.

Yeah and the biker will have a hard time getting $ from the city to get his bills paid and bike fixed took me a year and a half to get my truck fixed after a cop hit me, cities are self insured, never wanted to pay had take em to court, cop ran a red light. No emergency just ran it.
