I also live in Colorado, we spoke before when someone swiped my fatboy. I usually don't use any fuel stabalizer, I get enough riding in that I don't have to. Unlike Silverbeard, I usually stay in the eastern side (praires) it tends not to be as cold as the mountain. But who doesn't love a brisk 5 degree wind chill. Wakes you right up. I would get a windshield, it will help alot. I replaced the fatboy with Road King with a Quadzilla fairing, love the tunes.
It has taken me a year and a half to go through 2.5 gallons of gas in my honda lawn mower ( small yard ). Never added anything to the fuel and it starts on the first pull every time. Go figure... I think it takes quite a bit of time for gasoline to get to the point where it causes harm. With that said, I'll still add some fuel stabilizer to the bike for the winter, but not in the mower...
