Default Sorry, but what do you mean Loud Pipes?

When I started on my KZ 305 I thought it was loud, it made more noise than my car...

Then I got my Honda 750, thought that was loud, 'till I started hanging out with Harley guys...

So I punched out the baffles, then my neighboors (I was still living on a College campus) thought that was loud... I was still disspapointed...

Then I moved up to my 83ci Suzuki with strieght drags, no baffles, thought that was loud, never thought I'd get used to it...

Got my Harley, stock pipes, that was quiete... [] Drilled them out, still felt quiete. Went back and started up the Suzuki, now that seemed quiete too! Damn...

Put onl SEII slip-ons, seems better, at least it sounds like a Harley... but quieter than I remeber hearing on other bikes before I got a Harley...

Some of you folks call the SEII quiete...

Now I'm ready for my 2 into 1. But I still can't really tell, is my bike "loud" yet?...

Am I going death, or do I just appreciate the sound more?

I think my Touring SE II's are quite quiet compared to some Harley's that are quite loud, but they are loud enough for me.LOL

In the mid 70's I was running a Honda 750 with an open header and I can still hear the echo if I try hard.

Got straight pipes, they are great. Loud? You bet. Going to go with true duals, which should make them even a bit louder. Why? Because it is my bike, and my money. BTW, I am not an @s about it. I don't romp on them, all the time. But, I do enjoy waking the neighbors at 2am when I get home from work. Why, you may ask? Because their d@mn lawn mowers wake me, and the wife (both work nights) up at 7 freakin' a.m., on the weekends. That's why!!! [sm=badbadbad.gif]

I was coming home from work yesterday, sitting at a traffic light, when a Softail custom with drag pipespassed by. I thought about the recent discussions aboutloud pipes. This bike procedes on by, flowing with traffic. He had no baffles,I can tellwhen they shift, . Now he didn't wind it up and rev the motor and all that, he just proceded down the road normally. The bike was not loud, Yea, you could hear it. But, it actually sounded good as headgot a small distancebetween us.
Yea , I know, 5am and your neighbor revving the **** out of his. You could hear a stock bike in that situation.Just saying.
