throttle
has anyone heard of a thumb throttle on a bike, like on 4 wheelers, i have to have surgery on my wrist and may lose the mobility in my right wrist, just wondering how i can still ride or maybe a left handed throttle?

I never heard of such a thing for a motorcycle but the more I think about it I don't believe it would be a difficult task. It wouldn't be much more than a different throttle cable with a different end for the grip. To mount it where you want might take some fabricating but I don't see where it would be that big a challenge.

I had a motocross buddy whos wrist was messed up, he mounted a thumb throttle on his bike,
it was off a 4 wheeler I think,,,,, It can be done, ya just gotta match the cables,end barrels,to new throttle tube

the front brake may take some training to coridnate letting off thumb my fingers will be ok just the twist of the wrist may be hindered

thumb throttle can be done and is done a lot here in the desert you will have to go to a section of 7/8 bar or have a special thumb throttle made I have a throttle boss and if you move it around to the bottom it works just like a thumb throttle or at least it did on my last 2000 mile ride surprised me...

Look up the "cramp buster". It is a $10 item that slips over your grip. You can simply use the heel of your hand or your wrist to press it down. It is a great item and should solve your problem!
